Meet Anik. His first job was collecting cow dung and drying it in the fields to use for fuel for cooking meals for his family. He was 5.

He wanted to go to school with his friends but his family needed him to work. With support from PSDI, Anik’s family was given the resources and education needed to begin their uplift out of poverty, allowing them to educate their children and ensuring them a better future. The cost of operating a primary school in rural Bangladesh to serve 30 children from poor families is $2,400/yr. or only $80 per child per year.

Anik is a success story!
